Welcome

Hi, I’m a visual artist stationed in Nova Scotia, Canada. I specialize in charcoal drawings but am able to do a wide variety of things.

Here you can find a gallery of my current works, things I have for sale and current events I will be attending to promote my art.

If you are interested in commissioned work or a certain drawing, send me a message.

A Bit About Me

When people ask me where I’m from, I can never think of an answer, because I’m from all around Canada. I was born in a small city in the beautiful province of Alberta. That is where my passion for art was born. I have been drawing, and have wanted to be a successful artist for as long as I can remember. I later moved to Ontario and then to PEI where i spent my high school years and got my first real job.

I am passionate about my artwork, and metal music, and I am slowly trying to teach myself how to play the drums. I love taking nature walks, and visiting new forests. I hope to someday be able to visit Finland, and my birthplace once again.

Things to Consider Before Buying

How long does it take?

It really depends on the amount of orders I have at the time but usually around two weeks. I will give you an estimate at the time of order.

How big do you usually make the drawings?

Most people prefer 8″ by 10″ but I can do a variety of sizes. I usually trim my own paper so I can do pretty much any size.

How much does it cost?

The cost is usually different per piece. After receiving the info needed to make your piece I will give you a quote before I start. I usually base the price around how many figures are in the picture, the type of figures in the picture, for example a detailed butterfly or lion would cost more than a short-haired house cat, the amount of time it’ll take and the size of the paper.

What do you need to get started?

Usually all I will need is a photo of who/what it is you want done. I will need to know how you will want the subject to look, for example if you want me to leave things out, draw it exactly as the picture shows it or if its something like a generic animal, just the way you would like it positioned to look. Usually though, each personalized drawing will be different, so I may require different things depending on what you want. Any further questions just send me a message.

About The Charcoal Medium

Charcoal is a very unique medium in the sense that most of the art created isn’t actually based on line drawing at all. Most of what you see is made up of smudges.  Given that charcoal is actually a rather thick tool and not overly precise like a pen or pencil, very fine details are difficult to achieve, but still possible. If you are wanting a smaller drawing of something detailed like a face, small details like eye wrinkles wont show up in detail but still look like they are present. One last thing to note is the better quality photo I have to work from, the more detailed it’ll turn out. For example, if you give me a somewhat blurry photo, the drawing will turn out somewhat blurry as well.

Kaizen Pro Wrestling

This Saturday, January 25th, Kaizen Pro Wrestling will be hosting an event at Alderney Landing, and I will have a table set up to sell prints and take commissions. Hope to see you there!

Christmas Time

It’s November, which means Christmas is next month. If you have someone who’s difficult to buy for or just someone you want to do something extra special for consider a drawing. Drawings can be extremely sentimental especially if its a drawing of something or someone very important to the person.

Just send me a message if you think this is a good gift for someone you love and a photo of who or what it is you would like done.

Please allow at least two weeks notice if you have something you would like drawn so I have time to complete it to the best of my abilities for you.
